stake money for an oaks or derby is an absolute disgrace plus lets face it bettingworld being the sponsor is kind of having no sponsor at all...many years ago oceanair sponsored the derby and the stake was 750k

I am surprised a few borderline July enties like Gothic haven't gone for this race. You cannot incur a penalty and two weeks before the July would also act as a lovely prep run.

This timing of this race should be reviewed...it will always have 2nd class fields.

250k for oaks 300k for the derby is the disgrace why GC not speek with bernard to spend some money? may be he struggle with the french??? <

is why you get mr70 runners is the disgrace

A few years ago when KZN rescheduled this meeting Graham Hawkins, on TV, said something like "lets face it, these two races do not attract the quality. that is why they are now run two weeks before the July". I heard it.

Should have is way b4 they do...
Could easily fit in2 da programme instead of some of the MR60 crap dt goes on..
This derby might as well be a conditions plate or sunthng

GC should announce the July field earlier, it would then allow the unplaced DN runners to go for this race!!!

announce it earlier?they should only be nominating for the first time when it is announced ...no race in the world is done the way the july is
