I would pay R200, July only happens once a year.

If you compare it to prices for rugby and cricket matches, I don't think it is unreasonable; however some kind of loyalty program / discounted fees to regulars surely way overdue.

Agree with you there ! Turffies R10 for a Saturday mid winter meeting... and that was when my take home pay was around R230. 5% to go race .

Going to Loftus on Sat. paying R350 per head. I think the cheap seats.

I don't think you should compare to Cricket or Rugby as all through the year you get in for free to our races and then have to pay for the big day (July) some cannie afford this... Cricket and rugby you pay anyway being it a provincial or test match.
Say you a regular that goes every second week to Greyville/Clairwood, take R100, has a drink, a pie and then a small flutter on the gigi's, NOW this poor guy can't afford to go the July as the entry is already well over his budget... Kind of unfair to that loyal racegoer imo... BUT with some sort of loyalty card he may get a 25% discount on entry, a free meal and coke etc... Rather this than lose these people to the casino??

200 rand is way to cheap ,should have 3 entrances one for 500 then 750 then a grand and cater correctly for each entrance...
