Vodacom Durban July ticket prices
11 years 11 months ago
On Saturday, July 6 the adrenaline will be flowing like water among the over 55 000 people expected at Greyville Racecourse in Durban for the running of the R3,5 million, Grade 1, Vodacom Durban July, the greatest racing, fashion and entertainment extravaganza on the African continent.
On that day Greyville and its surrounds will be teeming with people and vehicles and the best way to avoid being held up in queues of people and cars is to secure entrance and parking tickets early.
Tickets for the day go on sale in early June - grandstand tickets at R200 each and parking tickets R50 per vehicle on the Royal Durban Golf Course. Whilst entrance tickets will also be on sale on the day, golf course parking tickets will NOT be sold on the day and MUST be pre-purchased.
The Summer Cup there is no entrance fee to enter Tuffontein Racecourse.

Over Priced if you ask me. What about the die hard punters that flock to the racecourse during the on/off season. How would they afford the tickets. Most of them dont even enter the racecourse with R200 to punt.. (td)

This is the reason why the sport is fucked, they have some stuck up idea that they need to keep the "scum" out on the big days and try to promote to the fuckers that are only there to drink and snort...

Been once and might go again someday. Too many people there who have no idea what a horse looks like and who are only there to be seen. Give me any quiet racemeeting or morning training at Summerveld anyday. Thank-you very much !

They charge 60 quid per day for cheltenham a couple of years ago (R900) per day
Not sure how much it costs to go to a rugby or football match for 90 mins

Had arranged to go to Haydock in January for a good Jumps meeting, 45 pound a ticket just to get in, Thank goodness it was snowed off.
Unfortunately the July is the only time where GC can charge and people will pay, if you think that is unfair try Club Tab where they are charging regulars around R600 for July Day . Bettingworld are a joke, they send MUPPETS down to talk to the regulars, promise change and what happens , absolute nothing.
End of the day guys, the attitude is TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.
