Would rather draw 1 than 20.

Snaith stable are top class with there marketing, that they would of had us believe that 19 and 20 were good draws if they had got those...

Well there we have it - and some controversy as per usual.
For me, I'm not surprised at Tellina not getting a run; also Gothic for me a border-line case - ran 1/2 length behind Wylie Hall in the Derby, so on that can't really be considered a surprise.
What does surprise me is that Wild One and Love Struck got in ahead of Rock Cocktail (maybe the yard did not want to run RC in the end) - they were both soundly beaten by RC in the Daily News; also I feel for the connections of Jet Belle; just a beaten a head in the Woolaving with a MR of 100, but needs to stand back for horses ratet 95?
Other border line cases for me are Shogunner, E-Jet, Punta Arenas and even Astro News - but I suppose something must make up the numbers.
So for me the horses that were hard done are Rock Cocktail and Jet Belle.
Anyway not a bad outcome for me as I have ante-post bets running (at some nice odds) on 6 runners (missed out on 2) (tu)

First impressions ... Jet Explorer looks a livewire in this field.. just wish it has/had another run b4 the July. Pomodoro still my first choice.

Agreed, and with reference to Run For It, in his last race was he not slow away (the meeting we listened to for the first 3 or so races)? For his backers hopefully he has not developed that nasty habit.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
