Its always going to be a matter of opinion and I rather stand by mine and be called an idiot. There's relativity in everything 20/1.And by the way I am one in many ways but one thing I know I will never call a stone a diamond just because of some glitter.
I got him down as a screamer rather then a caller who adds no value to the visuals. To rub you up more I will add on that the boy fancies himself a lot.He never misses an oppurtunity to look at himself when being interviewed. But all this crap of mine stems from an incident at Clw some 3 years back.I was trying to get my head around what to look for in a horse parading and I built up a lot of courage prior to me approaching who I thought would know.I asked and the man looked right thru me and walked away. But we learn to live with our insignificance but no one person can deny me what I see and hear. The incident has a bearing on my feelings but not my judgement.
And by the way I think his dad is all class.
Any objections on me calling Cecil a motor- mouth.Yeah I thought so.

I posted this in a different thread but perhaps this is the thread for it.

What I found strange and I'm not sure if anybody noticed but Sheldon's selections for the pick 6 and pa for USO was different to the selections he gave for FC? Hope he wasn't trying to mislead the punters

Sheldon is dedicated to this game of ours and works hard at it. BH I am sure he probably just did not hear you or was preoccupied. That is just not him. Bushmanland is spot on. I have seen Sheldon running up and own those stairs when He is the only one on course. Does the parade ring then runs up 3/4 flights of stairs to the commentary box to do the canter down and race commentary and then sprints down to do the post race interview and then back to the parade rind to start all again. Seen him at Summerveld at 6am some days.

Agree but very few could have forecast yesterdays results. Think I fancied 2/9 tat won. It is not easy and as long as he tries his best I will give him my support. His Dad is also very good for the game.

Craig his commentary rather then his tipping is what was being discussed. My bets for the day were win on Run For It and places on Day To Remember which was my choice in our little comp that we had.I agree 100 % with your feelings on Craig Peters

I should not have posted any messages last night "being under the influence" and humbly apologise to those that I have offended.

We have to get ready for the airport but I think Sheldon is top class.
As far as the vibe it was the best July I have attended ( excluding the results )
We have a few pics and will post when home but it really was a spectacular event and well planned.
The youngsters in the 3A box certainly know how to party and would suggest if you want a share in a horse and like to socialize give them a shout.
Just need to borrow some taxi money from Molly.

Good punting!

The problem I have with the July is that it has become very corporate. In years past, there were a few places that the Average Joe could go and sit and enjoy the day. Now Average Joe has to sit on the open stand and it is a very long day - go take a bet and when you return your seat has been taken. Now it's just hellish expensive to go to a tent (for me anyway). In my opinion the course is just over crowded and not a very nice experience anymore.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

ALL you guys that posted negative comments on the VDJ day, are getting %$#@ OLD, it was a great day at the course, packed crowd and the younger generation (future) of racing had a great day out. Some of the people on this site need to get off the couch at least. WELL DONE GC, another memorable July. Its a pity the lads in the 13th are starting to wear silks.

Your views and posts adds value to the beauty of this forum however your excuse holds no merit with me.But no one is right and wrong and I hold nothing against you. What I do suggest is a lot of water intake to make you feel better.Regards and enjoy your day.
