Cliffie Miller who ruffles feathers with fellow trainer for an apology now finds himself in hot water for a positive...

so if Kimberley racing is so rotten and drugs are so rife then why are there so few convictions? I ask because I don't know the answer- I think it is unfair to tarnish a center without proof which is what is lacking here!

How do you expect the punter to feel losing a bet say maybe he put 10k to one that was medicated to perform above his form?Is that less important then a post of a trainer?

Read the post he says all trainers will sell there mothers :S punters are not less important ,than trainers but why make a sweeping statement and then when the trainers that post on this site tip a winner we clap and thank them ........

Thats a ridiculous statement, should be removed and an apology made. Wonder why so few trainers post? Imagine a trainer saying on this site that they think their horse in a particular race will need the run or wants more ground etc, horse runs above expectations and wins... All the wise guys will then accuse said trainer of deliberately misleading the public, playing games, whatever..not worth it IMVHO.

I didn't say he was right in what he said.I asked how would one feel about losing a big bet in that way.And if that punter offends a trainer or two is that offense greater then the one that started it.

I don't think such comments should make any difference as to whether a trainer/owner etc posts, I don't think anyone would take the comment referred to as an ABC comment, more that of an individual to be ignored (at least on this occasion). As here, there are always plenty clanners ready to knock back such posts. Using it as an excuse not to post would be pretty lame imo. The Shams and Craig and Louis plus quite a few owners etc are examples where they can be involved and although they take issue with certain matters that is normal, so do I. What's the big deal? The fact is they don't want to be involved, whether that is due to complete apathy towards a punter or they don't want certain matters discussed openly only they know. I continue to say though that until transparency and accountability improves SA racing will remain an industry where suspicions are easily formed and that leads to speculation, some of which is no doubt way off the mark and some of which is probably hitting the nail on the head, but one thing is for sure, speculation is nearly always a bad thing and often causes damage.
Where Kimberley is concerned, there is a lot of speculation but then no-one (Shams aside) ever seems to say much from that centre so all we ever hear is negative stuff, it does them no favours.
