109 is too high considering the way he won against poor opposition last time but i am lost now because Blazing Sunset(52) is now a 77? wow i wish some handicapper would come on and explain how that race was rated - even the horse that ran last 13lengths went up 6 points and she was getting 4kg ???????

Jimmi Choo's run was full of merit.Short of his best distance and condition on a fast track he showed signs of a fair horse

This is typical "dumb" thinking ............it suggests that you can assume that all group1's are equal??
So Ngong only need to put their top horse up to a MR of 124 and that makes it an "international standard" horse..........WTF ?

If you happen to be in a situation where your best are leaving the country, how can you falsely elevate your second best to the same status?

Well at last some feedback at least - but it seems that now the majority of runners (by far) gets penalized to bring relatively few runners in line with international standards - what would happen if a sand horse like Silver Specialist tries his luck on the turf - would his sand rating be increased by 6 points?

Can we now expect that everytime our top 12-18 horses are exported,we just raise what's left by 6 or so points again.

Because of export ,the July was won by the second top wght at a MR of 112 (top weight 113)
If that is the ability of whats left,so be it!

Indeed it must advantage the 3 year olds as their mr's were calculated based on 3 yo's running in open company before August. I think...

False manipulation is never the answer IMO.

this is how i see it....
basically all the older horses were adjusted by 6 points, Virtuosity was then used as the line horse, Blazing Sunset was getting 12 pounds from the line horse and beat it by 2 which makes him 10 pounds inferior hence 78 (88-10). Jimmi and Blazing were given -1 point less than what they ran to. the others were left unchanged or with minor adjustments....

how can blazing go from a 52 to a 77 when he only placed in the mid 60's and very low 50's - That poor horse will battle with that rating as his previous record has showed - 14 runs before are ignored and one good run in the off season sees a 25 point hike!!
