Thanks Daryll.............it is a strange interpretation by the handicappers though surely:
a) if you ever raced against older horses you become an older horse
b) applying a rule retroactively to before it was implemented

No wonder I will never understand the logic!!!

This mornings Cape Times has an article on the subject .
Turf ratings for all older horses in all centres except PE raised by six points (effective 1 August) .
It also applies to current 3 year olds who faced older horses prior to 1 August .

Thanks Tim. I wonder if any trainers could comment here, were you informed of these ratings increases in advance so you could decide whether or not run your now 3 year olds in open company and incur a 6 point penalty for that run?

Race5- Dolomiti
Race8- Garibondy

36/1 lets see how good his tips are??????

Think about the application of that ruling..............conclusion:any 3yr old that ran in open company has 6 lbs more ability than one that didn't.............what kind of cuckoo's nest did this lot fall out of.

Race 3- Like a bit of Supercede EW with Belt up to improve
Race 4- Terracotta Soldier to provide some value
Race 6- Lunn Coupling and IAMWILL
