Struggling with a title for this thread so will TRY - Bookies held to ransom

This could be an interesting case?

I do not have figures but lets take Hollywood for an example
They turnover 100,000 and I would guess that 80,000 is on line via a smart phone or computer where the big punter is watching tv at home and the small cash punter is in the shop watching the feed
Would Hollywood pay the 3% of the 20000 or the total turnover?

Will bookies that have tote agencies at their outlets but still lay the open bet also be forced
to pay the 3%?

Sorry but I disagree with who owns the product......which is not a collection of horses!.....the product is the RACE, for a stake , provided by the operator.
To illustrate,Bernie Eccleston doesn't have to own a racing car to own the F1 product!

Contrary to "appearance money" people pay to enter the race to compete for the stake...........the RACE is the product..................horses wandering around is a documentary!

As I said,you can't have a Grand Prix without the cars but the Grand Prix is the product!

If the operators are smart ,anybody offering the open bet won't get Tellytrack at any price!

Not suggesting that bookies do this,but maybe the test case with the publican in the UK showing live pictures from a foreign satelite dish that couldnt be stopped by the courts..

boys to me these is simple. phumelela is fight fire with fire. the "good" bookies will no be effected

So the Hangover is gonna pay pay to broadcast racing??

Imagine if that was the case greg, they would be told to ram it up their chorus and verse ()

so how will their agencies survive?a bookie can just say im not paying,show live racing via
streaming
