Bookie might turn over 500k but 467k is on credit......this is why sa racing is NOT viable for betfair or any international operators, they operate in cash deposits.

This brings me to another topic,

The open bet

I can sot of understand a bookmaker having a LIMIT on an open bet taken with him where its a credit bet BUT on a cash bet i dont get it.....surely he has the option to take it back like for like and therefore chooses to take the risk.

Greg we don't take bets at the hangover and the gambling board asked for us to remove the Hollywood screen, the punters use their phones and can use any bookmaker

I have a credit account with my local bookie, settle every Tuesday. What is nice is you don't have to outlay up front for Long Term Bets like Formula 1 and EPL outright. (tu)

What i am saying is most bookies in sa still settle on tuesdays
I can count on 1 hand the amount of robberies at bookmakers
The turnover they declare had it been cash there would need to be more robberies or trucks collecting cash
The lads on this forum cannot make up enough turnover to keep all the banners on the site going
They still rely on a bloke betting and losing 50 k a week and settling 20k and he keeps firing.
They have about 5 or 10 of these lads and hence fly all over the world but its a false economy because its not sustainable
When a guy wins 200 off them then they too pay 20 a week and so the wheel goes round and round

Ask any bloke on this forum whos account has been limited if he bets on credit or cash?

I take 1.01 for a full max bet its cash........

Paying cash hurts

easy you are 100% when i bet credit i can bet as much as i want. some times i owe in the 6 figures the bookie say no problem pay me off which i do. never the problem. one day i hit the stanley fererra double at 90 to 1 i win almost a half million sorts out my balance and i have about 300 in my favour. the bookie tell me he pay me 60 a month and credit line stay open. never a murmor of limits. a few year later i gamble away almost every thing i have on credit and in desperation i stop my credit and play cash. no problem when i loose for months the bets is taken. then i hit hard for two weeks and i win over the million at that stage i have horse with roy unsworth who go through the purple patch and we punish the books. after i punt drum beat to win 200000 i get the call sorry we now limit you to 50k (td) if any one think i talk shit ask les kourie senior or junior, mac theba or ray curling the son of roy who was the jockey agent i not sure if he is still around. ask what mad mike he does when he is on the war path. ask ray what i do to the tv when he talk shit with me >:D<

Flash

Its the biggest downfall imho of sa racing. Its a social crime and ruins lives MINE included.

The situation is the equivalent of a drug dealer giving drugs away unlimited to a junkie but because he has 200 junkies paying him £10 a week he is still coining it.

Its a real shame , not 1 bookie offering credit does a credit check, they prey and they have zero moral and ethical responsibilities to the junkies, i know as i suffered this 1 st hand.

Just ask yourself as a human being the following

If a person cannot pay you 20 000 and can only pay you 5000 WHY would you allow him/ her to continue punting. And then the next week they owe 30000

How can this be justified

Morally
Financially
Ethically
