Englander going back to ur earlier comment I think once he had horse on rail and whip in right hand after a few strides ss just ran at one pace he then switched and got an immediate response but we all saw wht happend I have to say if my memory serves me correct the horse hung onto inner rail on last run dont knw if it would make a diff if he stuck onto inner rail comming into the straight but really looks like difficult ride

(tu) thanks for taking the time to give a pretty detailed answer Mr P, much appreciated. I hear what you say but still think it was the wrong move but very grateful to hear a reason why he may have done so and I guess if he thought the horse wasn't going to get up then he was right to try something (tu)
@ Greg and Elvis, yup, unlucky for sure... I take it SS does not like a smack?
Got the PA today a few times with small stakes, outlay only about R160 and got back just over 10k, got to be happy with that

Just talked to him - all of owner, jock and trainer not happy, Kudos moved in on him and forced him behind Divine Invitation - should have run 3rd imo as DI was stopping badly - not a bad run considering he was giving the winner 9 kg's (tu)

Thanks guys (tu)
Frodo, in fairness to the jock on Kudos and their connections, I believe DI was the first to drift across and I think Kudos moved less but came to join him, Fanie had angled in to avoid the DI movement and then had nowhere to go. Very unfortunate.
