I like Artic king to run a big race today. Run second at the Vaal over 1200m. I think the 1600 just to far last time. Maybe the 1400 in his alley. The inform Houdalakis stable will any way fire on all 8 silinders. Any comments about this horse!

The Houdalakis stable also have a very strong hand in race 5. Vivacious star and Jenny green are both going into my P6 as the only entries. Gambol will also maybe a banker in the last race. Will first watch the betting and more market support.

For those of you who are slightly superstitious: one of the debutants in the first, Keen Participation:
Same sire, owner, trainer, course, distance as Juno's Dream, who won on debut... Decent rider, won for trainer before. 51/1 win 10/1 place.
But... Her Highness... Dam's son Always ran less than four behind Oracy in the Guineas. Surely Englander will have a bet on this one. Because of the name of course.

Does it not trouble you (win) when they are brought back in distance ?
Referring to Gambol

Thanks shrek- well that's probably both good and bad; 'good' in that we can probably assume that the outside draws will still be advantageous; 'bad' in that the Vaal really needs some rain.
I am with you on Blazing Sunset - can't see any of the others troubling him at the weights today; I also hold a candle for Bah - very good maiden winner at this track - beating Barbel Run by 3.5 lenghts (Mount Hillaby beat BR by only .25 lengths and has to give B 2 kg's today) and the best bet for me is Gambol in the last - imo showed lots of pace behind a fair sort last time, drawn on the outside, Striker rides, stable coming back into form, what more can I say?
I originally also liked Casha, but although her last run looks good, I have her running to her MR of 77 and Playingtheenemy has now failed to franked the form twice, plus her inside draw as well as the possibility that she may be looking for more ground, has put me off her - rather looking at a real roughie Princess Alberta (good pinultimate run behind Sheri Baby) to place - so Casha will probably canter in :S
Enjoy (tu)

I usually do but in this case I am not worried. He showed pace on both starts and only tiring late last time . The good thing ab out this issue Striker keeps the ride. He usually advises the trainers what the right winning distane must be. He finishes last time 2nd to a decent sort. With Strikers ability and strong riding skills I think this horse will have his best winning chance over this 1000m today. Definite winning chance

(tu) I only asked for a "could" lol
Also have Blazing Sunset in my top 3 along with Tuesday's Child, the latter becoming slightly more questionable if there is a strong bias towards high numbers. Aerofoil with a run under his belt and a high draw might also feature a little more prominently today but more of a watching brief for me.
Frodo and Gnieman - (tu) for Gambol. Also liked Bah for those reasons Frodo and left out Casha.
Gnieman, I know it is a small-ish field but your P6 with V Star and J Green, they are drawn 1 and 2 if I remember rightly. Not trying to put you off but if I were doing that bet now (rather than after getting an indication of the draw affect) it would be a big concern for me.
