Some clever Trevor manipulating local Hong Kong PLACE pools::o
11 years 7 months ago
.....the winner and tote favourite in race 4 landed up paying R10+ for a place....:
.....for a few weeks I have noticed that the place payouts on some fancied runners are in the double figures at the time of the jump.....after the race a different story.....I would believe some one with a tote terminal is purposely wagering into the place pools and lumping bets onto most horses making betting onto any individual look unattractive.....then cancelling the bets on the off leaving the money on the horse with most chance....ie the favourite....I fell in and went for a close fav that did place....was in the double figures at the jump but paid less than R2 AFTER THE POST.....

.....Greg I have tried to play around this pattern....I actually had small place bets on the other 2 placed horses because the place odds were R20+....and caught the trif....one can always see the Hong Kong odds online and know the big fancy for the race.....this has been happening at other overseas centres too....where pools are not co-mingled....because the pools are small one does not have to lay much money in covering the field with R100 units and then cancelling all except the goodie in each race

.....who ever is doing this just got burned as the fav in the race just run did not place.....but the odds almost doubled after the jump and the next 2 in the betting shorted by similar margins.....the place pool decreased buy 2% after the jump definitely showing bet cancellations...

It's easy to trace the terminals for the cancelled bets and I would suggest the tote makes an urgent statement
The rules were to have been changed after my tour many years ago
That high amounts could not be done ??
Will speak to Vee

....That is just it....the pools are small .....place pool where I noticed a 2% decline the pool after the jump was only shy of R12 000 so pool only dropped by R245 however this time at the off is when the flood of R10 and R20 units are being loaded into the race the pool should spike at this time and not decrease by any amount....I think special permssion is only required for cancellation of bets above R500....a R400 wager on each horse would make up just under 50% of the pool.....

Zoros bookie gave him tote price last week on sound surround 17/10 and it was 7/1 with Hollywood so maybe the "punter" is getting a tote price from his bookie
