I would take court action and would expect to win, with costs !
@Umlilo - you were clearly correct and still are - NHA and Handicapping must be fully autonomous and cannot be controlled at all. That is the only way for the game to survive, in its purest form . And this must happen SOONEST !

@LG:
' NHA and Handicapping must be fully autonomous and cannot be controlled at all.'
Unfortunately, the apartheid opportunism repeated itself with the advent of the new South Africa that we all fought for / looked towards for a better life......to a worse degree!
A cabal within the ANC ( some of whom were from BCM), latched onto the ANC and covertly established such structures (like the Broederbond!) as 'Black this', 'Black that', 'Native this', etc. where a despicable reverse racism, discrimination and prejudice set in to the detriment of all of us.... even fellow African blacks who were not on the band wagon. Simultaneously, there were whites who also climbed in on the pretext of BEE partners and shut out others from the trough and accountability.
Even now, there are racist Africans within Government who have this agenda of 'headhunting' blacks (meaning Africans.... that too, from within certain factions; Zulu, Xhosa, etc) for positions.
Take the Gambling Board members; virtually everyone a political appointee (including a retired former cabinet minister!) Nobody from the horseracing scene / with background has been appointed t the Board (except yours truly over 10 years ago).
The same is en core in virtually every Government department and on Boards.....blacks appointed as political appointees.
I have accepted to be part of the recently launched South Africa First for the simple reason that the current status quo is not in our national and mutual interest. This situation has given rise to EFF which is also another factor.
Therefore, I am calling upon like-minded (we don't have to agree on everything!), concerned members of the fraternity to support us (especially in Gauteng where there is a reasonable chance of toppling the ANC...albeit together with EFF and the DA).
I suggest that if we all start thinking and focussing on the forthcoming elections by motivating others to get to the polls and vote, we will bring some sanity into all our lives and some semblance of hope for our children and posterity as a united country.
If SAF ends up the kingmaker, we will consult with all stakeholders within the industry and bring about changes to ensure not only the industry's viability, but also sustainability, to the benefit of all. Right now, horseracing does not feature on any other party's agenda...for obvious reasons!
That is my personal undertaking!

All the riders that participated at today's race meeting were required to submit their Medical Record Books to the Clerk of Scales in accordance with Rule 25.3.1.
The Horse Identifier, Miss Nasiphi Sankahla, who was relieved of her duties after the 1st Race, by Miss Phumla Peter, checked the Identity Documents of all the horses engaged for today's race meeting. With the exception of MAGIC FEET, in the 1st Race, (whose identity is the subject of an Objection), the markings of the runners were found to correspond with their passports. AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed as per normal procedure.
An Objection has been lodged by a Member of the Stipendiary Board against MAGIC FEET being declared the winner of the 1st Race.
if you beleve these faerie story you still beleve in father chrismas..... she see the horse no match the passport but the race is still run. what type of non sense is these the fucking malakkas. even when they show they are the fucking stupids they still lie to the public. i will bet the horse identifier is not check one horse. now many question is raise how did these horse run with out be identify? what training is miss sankahla get and who is suport her that day? these is the disgrace

Perhaps if a groom was given the opportunity this would not have happened as he would have known how to control the horse - perhaps the wrong person given the the job not the wrong colour

Now if she saw a difference in the markings(without the scan) did she report it to a stipe? If so then who is to blame then?

Harry, you heard wrong. The Trainers did not support an Autonomous NHA at all. That was not discussed.
The biggest fear by many is that the Operators take over handicapping. But that is pure speculation at this point and probably the produce of the rumour train which abounds in Racing.
Trainers are dealing with 3 issues only right now. The classification of prohibited substances, which is almost complete, the raising of the 6 points/handicapping and the treatment/transformation of grooms, which I am personally driving.
The "big noise" by Trainers has resulted in the following -
1)Classification of prohibited substsnces - huge task, produced by NHA and Trainers together, completed and submitted for ratification, in other words - DONE !
2)6 points raise in ratings - we have submitted our written docs already, due by today - DONE !
verbal submissions on handicapping at a workshop, 2 days next week - meetings/workshops
confirmed by NHA so its DONE !
3)Grooms issues - I am 80% complete. completion scheduled for month end, so not much left to do.
Your informant must CONCENTRATE in meetings !!!!
