Aldo Domeyer' rides in R5 and R6 today
11 years 7 months ago
Action needs to be taken against Aldo Domeyer rides in R5 and R6. Both rides poorly ridden; and this suddenly happens just after the stable wins 2 races(3 & 4) in a row. I'm now interested to see what the Stipes report is gonna be?

My guess is no further action - its too much work them (the stipes) to even do their job:X

Probably because there is no action needed :S Extra Cover is clearly a better horse at Arlington was well placed and found no extra, the same thing applies to Spirit Of Broadway (who incidentally was bowled twice ..once on the bend and once 400 out) the 2 horses have collectively run 5 times at Fairview and have not run a place between them,so should there also be an inquiry in S'Manga's ride when SOB last ran over the same course and distance when unsighted in a Novice Plate, I think not...horses for courses is a basic form study rule and the form was there for all to see ...imo both horses ran on merit and according to their form shown at Fairview...

Why do some horses show such a strong like/dislike of certain courses and others don't seem to be affected at all?

Gate Crasher is a typical example of horses for courses, he was top class but never won over a right handed track,....weird

I'm puzzled why this should be the case. Many form sites will specify if a horse has won at the course before but I've never seen any reason given why this might be significant. And it's not the case with all (most?) horses ... they win or lose regardless of where they run.

In the golden days there were many horses that could only win at Germiston as they had good gate speed and loved to run from the front and only had a short run. Turffs would be their undoing as the long hard straight would find them out over the final 400m

Been cases too...where the horse is partially sighted in one-eye and didn't like running towards his blindside...

The horse likes to lead with a particular foot?

Holy cow Mave. . . As Titch says...horses for courses an absolute must check when studying form.

Señor Santa was also a top horse but never shaped at Goatsville in PMB! Horses for courses as the saying goes.... There are many examples of this.
