Your horse being a 2 time winner is only legible to run in a graduation plate......and now exposed in a maiden plate the officials are not going to be kind when handicapping her for handicap races....so placing her in races is going to be very difficult as I fear they are going to give a high rating for starters.
This rating may make her legible for minor features where you wish to have the black type you seek but frankly if she could not beat a poor maiden field she may not be that competitive in higher company.
Since it is off season in KZN she may meet weaker in handicaps if she is able to go over ground as her pedigree suggests but it depends on what rating they will apply.
If this fails then it would be better to send her to a weaker centre like PE to get either wins or the rating down....if she starts performing above the class in PE then you can have a crack at black type at a major centre.

.............without doubt , the NHRA should be ultimately responsible for this in accepting or rejecting the nom.
The question is, who took the initial step to enter this horse in a Maiden Plate. Surely not the NHRA.
The answer is obvious......Tata Machance, punters are cakes. No one will notice the "mistake".

I think we all need to remember this incident, because if it happened to one of the smaller stables that person would be in massive trouble. You cannot tell me that the owner had no idea that the horse was entered into a maiden plate. He should be warned off but he won't because it is South Africa. You cannot get respect if you don't show respect for the rules of the game. This has set a precedent for future corruption to take place and refer to this case of non punishment to the detriment of racing.I say viva Zuma corruption wins.!!

The truth, the horse came in and went to quarantine and then was sent to Dbn. She arrived here and later the stable received her SA passport( New Zealand doesn't have passports like ours I am told) and although the owner had sent the previous form into the NHRA, they(the De Kock stable down here) were not told she had run and the form was not put onto the database so they rightfully just went ahead and nominated her for a maiden. The rest is history and no conspiracy on the part of the stable.

apparently because she came in as 4yo filly rising 5 all the documentation went to the breeding side of the nhra and not the racing side of it so that resulted in the mix up

Excuse my ignorance but how was this Horse allowed to be entered for a Race when the NHRA was informed, or of the opion, that it was imported for Breeding purposes. Don't the employees at the NHRA talk to each other. Also how does a top stable accept a 4/5 yr old Maiden without checking its credentials, and this goes for the NHRA as well.
So the INCOMPETENCE can continue unabated without any repercussions whatsoever, and then it is accepted as a MISTAKE and the Punters must carry on rewardless. How the hell do these people expect to attrack new blood in the game, they cannot even retain those that have been in it for years and LOVE the game.

If this is the case then it shows that they need their systems upgraded so that the record keeping can be tracked. FFS how many horses do we import in a year that cannot be monitored, checked and recorded correctly. What did they create 2 positions in this task. One for racing the other for breeding......the data bases should surely have imports and then sub divisions breeding and racing.
Several mares have been imported for breeding purposes but have raced so this is not a new function so why the cock up.......Bad controls no checking they need upgrading......
