Anyone who says that the course is not wet is lying. The pen reading at 3pm today had a range from32-42 and an average of 36. 55mls of rain Thursday night and yesterday.

If the course is not raceable then fine, the question I have is if this was the jockey challenge or July would tonight go ahead? I'm talking out of grief because we have a planned evening there tonight. Now I am still going to greyvile with no racing because even though racing is cancelled, Grenville won't refund the money paid for drinks and food.
Like going to the theatre but the dhow is cancelled but you can still have the canapes

I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

If it was the Jockey International I think they would have had a course inspection with Jockeys and/or galloped a few horses- pity you got shafted with food and bev Richie

I would go insane if that happened to me - You did not pay to have a meal but to attend a racemeeting - Maxed is correct

Mr H it was the other way around. Richie77 was/is going to a fund raiser at Greyville. That is the 1st objective.

Craig Capetown had 100 mils in 24 hours and raced....I have forever argued that GC would do whatever it took not to loose a meeting and they cannot be held responsible for the weather etc...the reason I no longer do that is quite simple, it is no longer the case....

Well who are we to question GC.....they know best:S

From what I've learnt today, if the trainers themselves can't even see the weather is okay to race, when its blatantly obvious, what chance do the monkeys that make the decision have of knowing.
