You people heard some other trainer mention the phrase "positive" statements about racing, and now its the buzz word? Lol.
Any constructive criticism is positive. Unless you're okay with mediocrity. Then. The racing in SA is so great. We have a great betting channel that promotes pool growth fully, and provides superb coverage of every race that is available to bet on. We have split screens that are ALWAYS used to show racing from two centres when the need arises, and never to show any tips from a R0 freely available form guide, because that would totally be blocking the visuals from one of the imminently clashing centres.
We have brilliant presenters, who can tip horses without form (first timers), just on the way they go down and their opinion on their pedigree, and thus do not need to ask the trainers anything whatsoever. The only negatives about our presenters, Paul and Deez, the KZN boys, while trying to do this, also rely on trainer and jockey opinion. How dare they try to include the opinion of the people that are in contact with the animal daily. They should be doing like the rest, and basing selections on the pedigree, even for 8yr old mr 72's, just like the rest of the presenters. But luckily, these guys are getting lesser and lesser time on screen, with the drastic step of even flying up commentator come presenter come tipsters come sports analysts into the province to take over their job. That is a sign of change.
Well done everyone in charge.

I recently attended an ANC run council meeting (other parties in attendance) The managers were all congratulating them selves for having the grass cut at the public playgrounds and that this was a step to being a world class council.
when I mentioned that all the equipment an security fencing had been stolen so in actual fact we only well cut fields I was told this was progress.
Phulelela seem to have a similar attitude to world class.

hi tommy
people like gregbucks and myself dont and will not post again as ABC because of the crap that goes on.. Scotia loves the controversy as it brings more hits and more hits means more money. His reply to your post is typical of him always trying to make a joke out of something serious.

I wonder if someone could define the difference for me between highlighting short falls within the industry and bickering...

I think the legal term - "the Reasonable Man Test" is the answer
Link
He is an ideal, a standard, the embodiment of all those qualities which we demand of the good citizen ... [he] invariably looks where he is going, ... is careful to examine the immediate foreground before he executes a leap or bound; ... neither stargazes nor is lost in meditation when approaching trapdoors or the margins of a dock; ... never mounts a moving [bus] and does not alight from any car while the train is in motion, ... uses nothing except in moderation, and even flogs his child in meditating only on the golden mean.[16]
