Exactly..........I race every day of my life because I love racing..........I hate the fact that the local product is battling due to poor management and regulation..........is it positive to cheerfully accept that?
Very few of the complaints about the tote, tellytrack data room and regulators(starts, winning maidens, ringers the MR debacle) are denied.......... just that some think it would be better to see them as positives????
The irony,of course,is that this is a thread criticizing people for criticizing people.................lol

So this has turned out exactly as I thought it would.
At the end of the day everyone should do what makes them happy, whatever that may mean for you.
For me it is all about celebrating the horse. I will continue to do that with every fiber of my being.
I have long ago decided the following...."don't fight the fights that need fighting.....fight the ones you know you can win"
All the best

CnC i am a bit confused with the first half of your post :S.... if it is "the crap that goes on here" that offends you then surely you would stop reading the forum and not just cease posting, but then again the 2nd half highlights the fact that u are easily offended, once you can find fault in someone trying to lighten up a thread.. :

This along with Frodo's last post in the Greyville thread. Make it a sticky.

I think constructive is about highlighting opportunities to improve racing as a whole for example when operators are not treating punters in the correct way but personal comments on individuals is not on or when people talk from there pockets this is not an exact science.

People that drink too much and gamble on horses and hide behind screen names--Tommy my boy, does this sound like a recipe for an environment that would lead to civility?

Mudslinging? Lighthearted banter? Humour?
Well decide on these!
Jockey John Francombe on trainer Jenny Pitman:
Shes about as cuddly as a dead hedgehog. The Alsations in her yard would go around in pairs for protection.
Jack Leach on Lestor Piggott:
He has a face like a well kept grave.
The Sunday Express on the racing commentator....
John McCririck.... looking like a hedge dragged through a man backwards.
Well decide on these!
