Can one of these 3 year olds win the Met?

I think Captain America is an awesome animal and if anybody can do it he may be the one?

Whistle Stop had lightened up dramatically and he never handled the opposite course either. I would put him away and let him mature. This wasn't his run IMO.

Capt America never settled today,not sure if a longer trip will be ideal,fast run Mile and they wont see the way he goes again

Not a chance any of these can win the Met. I give up punting forever if that happens.

lets hope they run in the queens plate and the met because the older horses have plenty chinks in their armour....brett must decide how many he wants in the met bar jackson and then same day got the derby...this crop of 3yos is high class

Yep, i think Captain America can be competitive in both the QP and the Met, especially since perhaps Elusive Gold can now be his Derby horse?

Captain America on todays run has the met at his mercy....one has to believe that had he had his chance again hart lets the 2 go a bit further clear and rides a different race.

Capt America was beaten fair and square by Elusive Gold which is improving leaps and bounds every race. On today's run, Elusive Gold looks more likely to stay the 2000m. If he does, I think would be a huge runner in the Met.

The better horse did most certainly not win.......not in my opinion anyway.

CA was pulling early on, got cut off by Red Ray, raced too freely and almost still won.

Elusive Gold got the race set up for him even though he had to go fetch the front guys.

There is no way Elusive gold is better than Captain America.......NO WAY.

agree tommy ....but still brilliant ride from bernard.....tactical jockeyship previal today....2 favorites chased the hare from the gun and another caught it when it mattered most....

if they race is to be run again the results will differ alot.

I'm with PeterD - the best horse on the day won - CA on today's run will not see out the 2000; also King of Pain showed that he has something to find - had every chance but could not get to Ze Kaiser who surely is not in the Met league :S For me the horse to catch the eye in that race was Jet Explorer - running on strongly at the end and sure to improve over 2000.

And just when Gavin van zyl must have been ready to pack his bags on head back to KZN - up comes Mohave Princess - so I still think that No Worries could just put that disappointing effort last time behind him and go close in the Met

Also plenty has been written about this year's 3 yr old crop being much better than last year's - but to be fair just like last year, they are beating each other regularly - so could it be that they are all slightly over-rated :S

IMO Bret will have the first 2 past the post in the Met i.e. Jackson & Elusive Gold, U heard it here first, take the exacta.
