You talking utter rubbish. The entire gambling industry is highly regulated and highly taxed. I doubt very much the pools or the tax being fiddled.

?.......they fiddle everything........:X......they are at least guilty of pool manipulation........by allocating how much each pool gets from a major carryover ......funny that they can't get the buy in expected from punters anymore......the biggest pool was on Emerald Cup and not Summer Cup......smoke mirrors and hype.....not forgetting the recent stuffup when a Cape P6 was incorrect in paying out a R100K because some mullet forgot the 1st timer brought in the 2nd horse plus scratching......had to reopen the all clear result and amend it to include the qualifying horses......and in this we place our trust......they should go and fiddle on someone else's roof......:X

Tend to agree with you.

We have our Finance Minister bragging about bumper tax collection, and we think great stuff, more money for the country.

Only later, thanks to investigative journalism, do we find out where the money is squandered.

Why should we trust Phumelela to come clean for transparency's sake when they cannot offer a credible explanation on tote payouts.

they call the p6 a dream bet but summer cup pool was just over 5mil if you took all six fields it would have cost you over 15mil.recently the soccer13 paid 9mil it would cost you 2.5mil to take all the combinations

Just did a quick analysis on carryover amounts from 23 Nov to 23 Dec. This is as far back, as payout data is available on Tabonline website.

What I do not have is to which meetings amounts were carried over to, and the carryover amount allocated.

These are the total amounts carried over at the end of each meeting, by racing centre, for the 31 day period.

Kenilworth : R2 042 574 (2 c/o's)
Vaal : R2 001 398 (3 c/o's)
Fair view : R1 387 905 (2 c/o's)
Turfontein : R 834 964 (1 c/o)
Arlington : R 53 873 (1 c/o)
Clairwood : R 894 975 (1c/o)

Total number of carryovers over 31 day period : 10
Total carryover amount over 31 day period : R 7 219 689.

Would have been interesting to have stats available from the start of the no coupling rule, and the amounts carried over to the next the nominated racing centre.

It took me just over half an hour to put this together, so should be just as easy for Phumelela to do.

Not sure if this has actually been requested from them.

I stated and still stand by my statement, that the Pick 6 will die within a year, punters are already getting fed up with carry overs, in my opinion, Trainers have an unfair advantage over the man in the Street, whereby they know which of their couplings has the best chance of winning, despite the price of the Horse

Jack you are joking right? Point is Soccer is a better bet and the Pick 6 rollover pools are a joke if based on the "Dream Win" logic.
