I was hoping to see it 'confirmed' in writing on a statement from TT - not that I doubt the Neighmaster - but still a mention during a telephone conversation does not mean the same as being confirmed - imo
The only 'official' notice that I'm aware of, is the notice sent to Bookmakers (shown on here on one of the threads) - to my mind this notice is addressed at Bookmakers and covers the feed into their premises - could be different for private subscribers (or maybe not) - who knows, as nobody from TT has even mentioned this on air (or if they have, I haven't seen it) :S

Cousin Floyd who works in the data room at Tellytrack ( we are so proud of his new Power Point skills ) he is in charge of the jockeys colors displaying during the SA Races has confirmed that from 1 March that the same technician responsible for the Saturday SAFTOTE website feed will be responsible for tellytrack feed. they plan to show all the LOCAL racing about 45 minutes after the event has closed. However on quiet days they will repeat old episodes of Shane Mcgregor and the guy with the bow tie giving soccer selections for matches that have already been played. they are considering editing the reruns to only show the winning selections to make them seem more credible.

Very good Sly!
Jokes aside, what will they put in the loooooong intervals between local races? And on evenings when there is no local racing?
I'm one that would miss overseas racing - at least the big meetings - but you can forget about me buying a special decoder.
(I was going to say, if racing coverage goes even more boring I will transfer my sporting enthusiasm to cricket, but I've had second thoughts about that.)

yep it seems as if we punters are going to be fed soupmeat local racing exclusively on 239.
i dont enjoy local racing except kenilworth and turff outer so i guess its best i pack up racing for good, play more online poker and punt sports with any bookie other than bettingworld which is an arm of phum.
good luck to all the horse punters who will continue to feed the beast by punting on all the local crap racing from kzn(soupmeat capital),vaal another soupmeat centre, kimb and pe the less said abt these 2 centres the better.
i will suffer from withdrawal symptoms from my uk racing, but what i cant see i cant punt on and no i wont buy a decoder because i have no dispute with the bookies like phum do.

they have obviously done the numbers but would of thought this could have a negative on turnover as punters wont get to see the overseas racing, why bet then... :S

great to see only local racing on tellytrack....now we can see the horses in the ring, canter past , post race interviews and race replays without having to wait untill late at night to see interviews and replays.
great to go back to the old way of only local , i for one have no interest in ngong sweden aus jumps or any of that. my interest are with our local industry and the promoting of it.
it will also engourage the small R20 punters in the outlets to punt more on local races.... seen it many times that they love to have a punt on races they can see running....
you all have internet , and if jumps and ngong and sweden tickle your fancy so much ....lock on live streaming and you can see it
i think its great...local is lekker and its a step in the right direction to look after our local industry .

Foreign Racing will still be broadcast in the totes and bookmaker outlets that pay for the decoder
