Western Cape Racing: where did we go wrong?
11 years 2 months ago
I remember we had racing twice a week
Wednesday and Saturday
Only missed Wednesday before the MET,plus 1 or 2 rained off
Now,how many meetings in March? 3,4?
Just where the fuck did we go wrong???
Was it the COMINGLING?
I may be wrong but I really think that was the start
Whoever started this shit deserve to be shot!
SA RACING IS REALLY DOOMED:X

You could be right
The Bass,Snaith and Kotzen stables seems to be prepairing for it
Wonder who is next
Ramsden,Crawford or Kannemeyer?
PE may soon be the Racing Capital of SA8-)

I know we are now in the aftermath of the "Sizzling Cape Summer Season"but this decision to reduce meetings to barely one a week does not take into account the July/August period.
By that stage of the year the normal Cape weather has laid so much rain water, that there are regular cancellations of scheduled meetings at Kenilworth and Durbanville.

In the 1980s my old man used to go early in order just to getting a parking at any one of the courses.

July, August are the big rainy months why not keep these meetings for that time,Bass Snaith Ramesden have over 180 to over 200 horses in there stables ,they take about 20 horses to NTL,so why can't the other horses run, there are lots of small stables that would love to run battling horse's ,so this is a kak story that trainers are getting horses ready for NTL, they are just saving money and they don't lose money, why would you not race when the weather is at its best in cape town,no but we will race when the weather is at is worst so we can all lose our money when the going is so bad .
