Three immediate ways to stop racing from dying :
- show punters, who fund the industry, the respect they deserve
- show on TV ALL the races that you expect punters to have a bet on...don't have a Quickmix bet that includes overseas legs when you don't show those legs
- restore integrity to the industry by investigating, reporting and punishing wrong-doing in a transparent, impartial and objective manner...payout manipulations, form reversals, one of coupling backed and long-priced horse from stable wins, etc, etc...
I going to see if my Rajastan Royals bet comes in now...haven't had a racing bet in some time now and the better for it...

Stirling is an ultra religious town so most punters would not be having a bet on Good Friday.
Hibs you are always slagging off UK racing. UK racing is the best in the world by a racecourse. Just look at all the crowds at all of the tracks today. They were all jam packed.

agree, but add to that education of the new generation in how racing works, on several levels, not only betting.

Every area of racing is recognised except the punter ..................why do Operators/Saftote not have a "PUNTERS CLUB" with special incentives, invites to special functions and racedays, surveys to establish what would make punters increase their spend etc etc.
Punters need a voice!

on how to fix racing many of the top brass have publicly stated that in order for racing to come right and get the crowds back racing need a champion, so i presume everything is great because Louie The King is here, possible triple crown winner,, if not then could they please shut up on that weak strategy because its not a fix

that's right but then we did not have on line betting. I also remember that the clerks had to work out the winning bets and when you took your bet they would keep their copy in a pigeon hole. How times have changed over 10 years.
