Super Rugby - Round 14

Interesting weekend ahead with two top sides having byes as well as the Blues.

Hurricanes vs Highlanders - Tough Kiwi derby but the form shown by the Canes of late should give them the edge. Could end up being very close so will go for a tight win for the Canes.

Crusaders vs Sharks - The Crusaders have turned the corner after a poor early season and look the side to beat (wouldn't be surprised if they are now CnC side). The Sharks look like they are having a dip in form so expect the Saders to win this easily, recon -8,5 looks a decent bet. If I were the Sharks I wouldn't kill myself in this game and save myself for next week against the Blues, pick the battles you can win. Now they will probably win today.

Reds vs Rebels - Doesn't affect anyone but Reds and Rebels supporters.

Stormers vs Force - Could be a very interesting game. Stormers have been under achievers this year and the Force have punched well above their weight. Looks like this could be a very close game and a few points could seperate the sides. Recon the Force could pull off their second win on tour.

Cheetahs vs Brumbies - Cheetahs never play two games alike and I recon they could bounce back against the Aussie Conference leading Brumbies. I am going for the Cheetahs to cause an upset here and give the Brumbies a few headaches,

Waratahs vs Lions - Don't see the Lions repeating their second half effort last week but hope they can scare the Tahs. Unfortunately I see a big win for the Tahs coming up.

Highlanders need a break imo, they looked tired against the Lions. Hurricanes will come away victors today.

Crusaders to beat the Sharks.

Reds win against the Rebels.

Force against the Stormers.

Brumbies will outsmart the kamikaze Cheetahs.

Tahs to beat the Lions but i reckon +16.5 is not a bad bet on the Lions.

My take on this weekend's games:

Highlanders / Hurricanes - very difficult to call and historically never much between these sides - Highlanders faded badly last week, but that was their first game back after a marathon flight back from SA and I expect them to last the distance today - going for a narrow Highlanders win, mostly because everyone else seems to be in the 'Canes camp.

Crusaders / Shark - Crusaders turned the corner just as I started writing them off - Sharks imo just not good enough to take on the top sides, especially in their backyard - Crusaders to win comfortably

Reds / Rebels - like the first game, I make this quite tough to call - Reds have been poor, but at home should shade the Rebels who are not that great away from home either

Stormers / Force - Stormers keep on losing key players, and this will cost them again imo - Force always give 100%, have a great defence and are also good on the ground - Force to win with something to spare

Cheetahs / Brumbies - Cheetahs disappointing last week, so Brumbies to win comfortably

Warratahs / Lions - as much as I would like to see the Lions win, I can't see it, the 'Tahs just too good a side and should win comfortably

Reds 10/11 -3
Crusaders 4/5 -8
Lions EVS +15

Never ever will I support the Crusaders. I spent some time of my life in Christchurch and boy are their fans arrogant. (Only United fans are worse then they are)

I see that the Bulls are not in action this weekend, maybe that's the reason for Shrek opening the thread as he does not have to worry.

Sharks on their last few performances wont be winning
