July 2014 Pick 6 Pool
11 years 1 week ago
I wonder how much will be added to this pool.
It would be also nice to know how much is in the carry over pool at the moment.
i predict a pool of 7 bar.
there should be another 6 carry over Pick 6's in the near future

bigger pools tend to have lower payouts imo (even though from a value pov you get more than you paid for), it's better to catch the midweek meeting....

this is due to the pools being carried over to meetings of higher class on the weekends, mostly feature races where one will find more favourites winning than a midweek FM 68 Divided Handicap...for instance, that would give huge results like today.

which means if you wanted to catch a big one you have to go big on the mid-week meeting before a big race day.
how come there are carryovers when there are so many expects in this game of skill?

I agree with you except I am not au fait with the term "excepts in the game"

I am surprised that there are Pick 6 Carry overs as Vee and Robert always seem bullish that it is easy. So either one of them should have caught it, unless thay did not play it

I am starting to think Casino again. Horse racing is becoming a lottery. Is anyone in authority trying to do something about in and out runners. Taking away couplings and then bragging about the increase in payouts. What idiots. They should rather be trying to flush out the inconsistencies on the track. They should be asking big questions about some of the surprise winners and then follow up on them. I am fast losing interest in horses as it is now just a waste of time studying form. Rather just use a pin

In the local bookie, there was a consistent punter who religiously played this R30 pick 6 daily. I have not seen him for the past 3 weeks.
He came in over the wnd to play a Bipot and I enquired "where has he been lost". He informes me that he now goes to the casino and play "red"or "black" and he is having better luck. he play to win R200 and then leaves.
well done P. You are doing a great job in driving punters away.
another thing i noticed was that this bookie has not paid for international racing subs in the past 2 weeks. when the last local race has run, the place empties out. The usual working class punter who used to come after work to have a drink and take the odd bet, also has chosen other places to have adrink and take the bet.
The above is fact and not made up stories....
