There used to be a rule that the jocks keep to a straight path for the 1st 200 mts of the race, however if Beach Beauty was allowed to cross so quickly without sticking to the rules, then obviously the rule no longer exists.:S

With the board game Totopoly, a horse had to be 2 lengths clear before crossing into the next lane so that's the only 2 length clear that I know about.:P

It's quite fascinating to see the Harness drivers challenge for the pole or attempt to do so from wider out and most times the rail horse driver kicks up to hold the lead or sits back and loses the lead, instead waiting for a sit and sprint lane home run.Perhaps our jockeys should consider racing into two lanes................not forcing others 3 wide or 4 wide on the bend.:S

for races up the straight you are not allowed to come across for the first furlong that is definitely a rule

Or try looping the field...................................if the pace-maker gets the lead too cheaply, then slams the brakes. Take the bull by the horns.8-)

As I have no knowledge in this regard what would make jet explorer lite up like that and overrace so, is it the obvious that it wants to go faster as being from the cape should be used to the cape crawl :S
