You talked about the internet and smart phone use.
It is without a doubt the way to go for racing as well and even though some of us are using these facilities as punters it appears that it is far from perfect if I read some of the service delivery threads.
I am still old school and out of habit I use my telebet account. Would be happy to switch though as online and mobile services improve, as the convenience factor and the ability to check your bets is a good reason to consider switching.
If we are to reach out to a new customer base then tech savvy offerings is a must and many new products could be offered that isn't possible with many of the legacy systems currently in place.
Interesting to note that many totes still run a dos base system, kind of supports your question that change should happen.

In the UK the betting apps are wonderful( although the bookies are very poor) i was watching the soccer lastnight and the 2nd the first half whistle went i was being sent notifications from a series of bookmakers
All through Royal Ascot the bookmaker apps were sending promotions

What is your thoughts on the UK Tote versus bookies, especially since you have already mentioned that the bookies are poor?

Being a person of colour I myself was also a victim of circumstances by a security guard at Kenilworth. The idiot let a whity go through to lounge with slops and shorts but stops me when I had my badge and dress up because I had a runner. I told him what I thought of him and his job and Hasheem Adams had to come and end it because he was close to see his arse.As far as football is concerned SAFA is under the impression that football is a black mans sport. I cannot remember exactly what world Cup it was but Carlos Quiroz took Japan to 4th in the world and now he got Iran into the tournament and Iran has comes out of a war. He was an assistant to Fergie and also managed Real Madrid. If Quiroz takes to job as our coach for the second time he will also fail because of the politics in SAFA.
