BY001 - IMO I can't see RC finishing in front of Legislate or Louis the King...even with SUPERMAN in the saddle. ()(tu)

A 3 year old carrying 56kg's, drawn 14, first time against older horses......Machine or not, I'll be looking elsewhere.

MDK "Watch the older Horses" - Espumanti is a top 3 runner!! Little talk about this runner but WILD ONE & ESPUMANTI for a place!!!

Leg is late cant be left out thou, think he proved enough over the season, but has been a long season as well

Went to the course this afternoon to pick up some tickets had a look at the turf track, mmmm NOT IN A Good condition very patchy in areas
a very hot day here and the track seems to be getting hard

Guys good luck for the big race

Few months back recall an interview were Jeff mentioned that Fradd advised them to geld Lockheed Jetstar and they would have a champion

Since the gelding the Jet ran 6 lengths to Yorker from draw 11 in a Grade 1 and beat Rakes Chestnut. This should be the Pick 6 banker at a fantastic price of 33/10

If I were you I would change bookies, you should get atleast 40/1 on the treble.

Since 1978 only four 3YO have won the Durban July and they were all after each other 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, 2013 saw the first 5 YO since Pocket Power dead heated with Dancers Daughter in 2008, so statistically we are truly in the era of three year old's.

In my experience, I agree with all the fellas who mentioned the horses to worry about are the ones with the least discussion, if it were all that easy we would be running off putting 100k on our so called guarantees Legislate, Louise the King, Rake's, Futura etc... and collecting a massive return, truth is no one knows what will win and that's why we choose to spend a little more circumspect.

Exciting times ahead and I believe this July will be very closely contested, I have made a single selection and I'm sticking with it, below is a summary of what I think will happen - WITHOUT PREJUDICE!

1. KING OF PAIN - Positive (Beat my 1st selection BEACH BEAUTY before final field and runs well with Blinkers) Negative (Distance concerns)
2. CAPE TOWN NOIR - Positive (Blinkers) Negative (Was drawn 15 last year and look what happened)
3. TELLINA - Positive (Nothing - Jockey only) Negative (Everything else)
4. WHITELINE FEVER - Positive (Jockey and draw) Negative (Distance)
5. WYLIE HALL - Positive (Jockey) Negative (Just can't have it)
6. ESPUMANTI - Positive (Jockey and draw) Negative (She hasn't beaten much)
7. PUNTA ARENAS - Positive (Nothing) Negative (Draw and he hasn't won for over a year)
8. CHERRY ON THE TOP - Positive (Won triple crown in 2013) Negative (She hasn't been the same since)
9. LEGISLATE - Positive (Stable in form, Jockey, won DN) Negative (He was stopping late in the DN, Rakes and Louis will flatten him over the extra 200m, watch the replay)
10. LOUIS THE KING - Positive (Half a Kg on LEGISLATE, Draw, Jockey, Triple crown winner 2014, Top Stable) Negative (Give me one)
11. RAKE'S CHESTNUT - Positive (Draw, Jockey, Ran on strongly in the DN and should have won when impeded by LEGISLATE running all over the place) Negative (Experience)
12. HALVE THE DEFICIT - Positive (Striker!!, Decent Draw, Top Stable) Negative (Beaten mostly by the ladies so I just can't have this 5 YO)
13. JET BELLE - Positive (Will enjoy the distance) Negative (Draw)
14. CAPTAIN AMERICA - Positive (3rd run after a rest, Game runner, Jockey, Has LEGISLATE at his mercy at the weights, Speed Rating way above all others) Negative (Slight distance concerns but not much really)
15. IN THE FAST LANE - Positive (3rd run after a rest, Distance suited, Jockey, Draw) Negative (Is she as good as IGUGU??)
16. FUTURA - Positive (Jockey, Draw) Negative (Needs more experience, Distance and he was beaten by ONE COOL DUDE, just saying would you back OCD if he was in this race??)
