To be honest, I'm a little tired of this supposed horse racing lark, glad to have a little light relief with a game of Bingo...

Carlisie looks hard to beat in the 8th

I never thought I would be looking at a Flamingo racecard delighted that we are not racing at Turfontein................lol
That track yesterday was a disgrace IMO.

I think they should race on the all weather only for a month at least this time of year

Give the punters and poor horses a break

Least in the UK when the season ends it sort if ends

lol Rob, I knew us Bingo players would convert you eventually ;)

Testing times, as if they weren't already, for SA racing imo Rob. I have pretty much finished with betting in Cape Town and Greyville, the Vaal is testing my patience big time and though I didn't have too bad a day at Turfs today, I couldn't disagree with you or CnC. I get the impression it is not just me either, rather than attracting people to the game I think more and more are looking for alternatives, I confess I am missing the football bets and looking forward to both the new Premiership season and the NFL starting.

I would agree with that suggestion..............the only province that has ideal racing conditions in winter is Natal.................the rest is too wet or too dry/hard

Having assessed yesterdays races ,I have no option but to ignore every run on the day. I don't think the handicappers enjoy that discretion so should create some later opportunities!!!

(Sorry-Probably should be a different thread for the subject)

Carlisie looks the right one. Don't think the fav in the main race will win either. Great form to some good 2 year olds but doesn't look like it will take to sand IMO.

Good luck tomorrow, exotics should pay.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

Funny ,Englander,I was discussing Flamingo with some mates this week and saying that I have a love hate relationship with the place ............my days there are extreme ............some days I think I studied the wrong card, and other days it's like I wrote the script...............lol.
Last meeting was my best ANYWHERE for months and I have had other great days there ..............but I have had some shockers too.
For that reason I try to get maximum return on minimum stake............much too dangerous to have a go  But I always have a ticket there!

R1 LG is becoming a little bit of a dab hand with his raiders and Niebelung is the latest from his stable to visit Bingo. Especially as the bookies are not taking any chances a word from Louis would be great if he is able. Oh Shucks comes up from CT to join the Cliffie Miller stable and also must be considered though perhaps may prefer further. Either horse could win but unless there is a confident word from Louis, with no positive breeding indicators to go on, I'll pass and play on the known form at Bingo... on that I give Son Of A P a very good shout, 5 top 3s from 6 c starts and 4th in the other. On an e/w I would hope to at least get a return of my investment. Captive Consort could challenge if away well but there still has to be a question mark in that department and, though he was just ahead of SOAP lto over 1800, I favour the latter over this shorter trip. Ziets has previously made confident noises about Jack Friday and, though well beaten lto over 1800 by the two previously mentioned, he was in the mix with them over 1400, the blinkers go on and could bring about improvement. He may be worth a small e/w nibble for value seekers.
