There is actually a couple in the race that have shown some kind of ability
6L of Afrikaburn is a no bad run
Will cover my stakes with some wins on him.Anything coming from South America needs to be respected on the surface.

So far the horse with the clearest winning chance has to be Sea Knight in the third. He was well ahead of Jimmijagga and Wild Thing as mentioned earlier by Winning Post
Currently at 3,33 and ,60

Does anyone else have second thoughts before hitting the bet button when punting on the Vaal sand?
Must admit I always doubt my selections here

CP beat Samogan lto (Samogan's penultimate run) on the turf by 2.75l and CP is now 2kgs better off.
Lto Samogan beat Perfect Trip over this c/d by 5.5l receiving 2kgs.
Last time on the sand CP won over c/d with Perfect Trip 5.25l adrift, CP was giving 3kgs. Samogan is giving CP 3kgs here.
If my maths is right, that means, on the sand runs alone, CP is 8kgs better off for a 0.25l smaller victory margin.
CP also has the bonus of the 1 box here.
Now of course that is all on paper and Samogan won very well lto and could easily go in again here but at 4 x the price, I'll risk a little on CP e/w, All that said, others have chances too!
That's why we have you Englander, you are absolutely correct, there is a major swing at the weights. My justification on Samogan was based on the following, Lerena doesn't get many rides for Tarry these days and he's on a horse that he's won on before, when he was beaten by CP he may have just needed that run after a short layoff, 3rd run after a short rest today should put him up there. Last but not least CP is somewhat unreliable at times, he runs too sporadically, if following he's form he wins every 4th run or runs a place, he won he's last which worries me.
