Springboks v All Blacks
10 years 8 months ago - 10 years 8 months ago
Hopefully the All Blacks have had too many Stein larger on their trip over from Buenos Aires celebrating their retaining of the championship trophy. The Springboks must hit them hard in the opening 25 minutes and get a lead of around 20 points as we all know that the All Blacks get stronger as the match goes on.

Looking forward to the match...hope the referee sees and blows the whistle for the match on the field and does not allow player reputations to influence decisions...

Thank you, I am sure it will be a great game. Sold out already. Only the 1 change in Bismark starting the game. Bambie will show those deft touches when he comes on!

Must say I'm surprised at the final team - for 65 minutes against the Aussies this line-up looked like loosing the match - then the subs came on and it was a different story - but I suppose it could be argued that the Aussies were being hammered continuously by the starting line-up and then just were too tired to repel the fresh legs - anyway I would have started with Lambie, Reinach and Schalk Burger.
I heard the AB coach sing Pollard's praises - for me was pretty moderate against the Aussies (but will no doubt improve as he gets more experience) - wonder if that is genuine or if they would prefer to face him rather than Lambie

Frodo tell me this
why does your coach, yes my team but your coach (bulls) publish his team 4 days before the match. Is it in the IRB rule book that you have to do such thing. By doing so he has given the All Blacks more than ample time to work out plays against our boys. If i were coach (which will never happen as I just like millions of others have no clue) i would announce the team to the media 30 minutes before the kick off Element of surprise goes a long way

The way I see it, is we are going to defend for 60+ min and need a strong defensive line-up to start off with. We need someone to be able to boot us out of trouble into their half. We also have DV carring an injury and a newbie on flank. Bambie will get slaughtered at flyhalf in the first half.
Now in the second half with tired legs bring him on and then we need our fresh legs to run them raggered. Our tight 5 have to step up to the plate , try and dominate (line outs esp) and protect the ball carrier.
Going to be a great game. Boks 27 AB 25
