Where does this owner 'print' his money?? I see he has been a huuge spender at Sales for the past 3 or 4 years and must be showing a big loss? Surely any successful businessman would not 'throw' their hard earned money away? Intandokazi cost R1.8mil & is still a Maiden!
Doesn't make sense to me.

I been meaning to ask the same question Gazza, seems to have pile's of cash and the Azz man has dug his claws in deep :silly: Having said that it's inlikely he's in it to make money ...another new guy in recent times is Bryn Ressel in the Cape, pots and pots of cash with some massive purchases that haven't paid their way ?
I wish I had their problems for a day

Just done a rough estimate and reckon his current 3 year olds including purchase price and training would have him in for about R40 million. That excludes any stake money that the crop have earned.

Any chance you could post less Colours ? You seem to be hogging the forum with bullshit and crap intertwined with a very rare word of wisdom.

The boys were discussing this just the other day at the rooms. Someone said that van Vuuren designed the microchip technology found in credit cards and that he gets a royalty on every transaction using his technology.

Good luck to him and hope he has all the success he deserves. Think it is only good for the game that we get some new blood and hope he gets back some sort of return and success so that more will follow suit...
Despite what we all may think and possibly be jealous etc these kind of high spending owners the like of him, Mr Jooste, Mr Russel and Mr van Niekerk have kept this game afloat and getting more of them into game will only make it better imo.
Would love to be in his and others mentioned position with indulging my love and passion for horse racing and respect them for following their dreams and passion. Is their cash after all so are free to spend it how they see fit, glad it is in this game....

Between him and his missus they own a couple of take-out franchises [ if not the franchise brands themselves ]. PizzaPerfect, BurgerPerfect and Silver Star DVDs come to mind.
They also own Misty Meadows Equestrian Estate which is a major horsey venue / function venue in Pretoria East. *Very* big venue.
Some of his racehorses also spell there when not in training
