I usually refer to the post race interview as the "postmortem".This is where the owner, trainer and the jockey in their excited states 'reveal"the real information and by then it is too late for the "mugs".The post race interview is for marketing the trainer, jockey and the breeder and the sponsors. In short,i think that the trainer and jockey should not reveal stuff in the post race interview especially if this information was withheld in the pre-race formalities.Point to note is that sometimes there is NO money for a horse and it wins easily....but the connections get on by including the "unfancied runner" in the exotics.

Probably best just to have a 'loyalty' bet every race = at least something to buy the celebration beers with - lol!
I also agree w/Carlos, half the time the Trainer doesn't know - at least that's the way it works w/greyhounds dbl-lol!!

The trainer and jockey have no obligation to share info with the public - in today's market the owner needs a clear strike on his horse to survive or this game will close down - punters must use form and stay away from juvenile races if they want to save their cash - owners already bear the costs of keeping the game alive and it is unfair to expect them to give you info so that you can shorten their horse - i often hear so called "stable" info but will never use it unless i can find crediblre form to back it up - i'd rather see the last 400m of a few fancied horses prior runs than listen to stable info

100% agree Mr H - let the owners get on, then if they want to enlighten their mates so be it.
I also agree with Carl's point - adding that some are the opposite and are'morning wonders' but can't reproduce on the track.

I am 100% sure Duncan did not expect the horse to win. His comments to Laff would be honest comments. Duncan does not play games, but his horses always goes out trying. A very competitive trainer.
