Dumpy held hostage

Had a few messages saying dumpy was held up and robbed

Stole some cash and his phone , brandy etc

Assuming a true story Bob, any new on his well-being? Tis (always) a horrible experience, just hope he is ok.

Poor guy - terrible thing to happen to anyone - Hope he gets some trauma counseling.

if he is been held hostage then I hope that the special squads are onto it as been held hostage is a heinous crime.

C and C. These crimes are such every day occurrence. u be lucky u get any Police support or follow up. it is not a case of corruption or incompetence , just totally over whelmed by the volume and severity of crime.

Certain areas in South Africa are more prone to crime. The Eastern Cape in general struggles with all areas on Crime and service delivery, unemployment etc

There big Council is bankrupt or close to bankruptcy. Rather ironic it called Nelson Mandela Metropolitan or such.

amazing that the council has gone to the dogs, yet I presume that whatever seat the president and ministers of the cabinet hold that areas council and all public services are great.

Last time I arrived in the place we stay near Mossel Bay, just a few months back, the handyman there told us crime in the area was on the increase and to be careful, a few days earlier a woman had been robbed and her throat cut with a blunt blade. Fortunately the cut was not too severe and not life threatening. The really bad thing, from my point of view rather than the woman's of course, is that it came as no surprise and was not greeted with any great shock. In fact, it would have been a surprise if there hadn't been some story or other. Which is why all that is really important here is that Dumpy was not harmed.

Happened over the weekend. A bunch of guys broke into his home & held him & his wife at gun point

Just heard ANC stalwart Jackson Mthembu was shot in an ATM robberry.....no one is safe
