Colors, I think that this race is one of 2 races that will be run on the grass on Friday if we don't have rain obviously.

very poor to see a race that is given LISTED STATUS have a field that has an average net merit rating of ONLY 87...EXPLAIN THIS TO ME 135 000 RAND FOR A LISTED RACE AND 120 000 RAND FOR A PINNACLE PLATE it makes zero sense and lets not compare the 200 000 on offer for the chapter challenge races ....im sure shane warne will have a different spin on it

Agree, a poor quality field but Bold Inspiration should come home lonely en route to maybe the Victory Moon and Summer Cup.... Maybe a good treble although the SA bookies don't really do bets like this as do the UK bookies.

Might be poor
But we're back on grass
Greyville is just not the same on the poly

On the Greyville "greentop" it should seam around quite a bit, always good to bowl first on a fresh greentop, what would the lads from "Francois rd College" know about cricket anyway !!!!

10 years 7 months agorowdy I cant recall you playing cricket but remember you winning scorer of the year award and receiving a special h4 pencil for your efforts ..when someone scored a 50 or 100 you used to raise the h4 pencil much like the batsman raised his bat...Rowdy wrote: On the Greyville "greentop" it should seam around quite a bit, always good to bowl first on a fresh greentop, what would the lads from "Francois rd College" know about cricket anyway !!!!

Bob, when I bowl I need all the bias in by favour! Rowdy will confirm to you that I am more of a AB De Villiers than a Dale Steyn!
 Seriously Bob, it will be interesting to see the way races go but with everything that they have done, it should be fair across the course.

Craig do you honestly believe that Bob knows or has even heard of AB or Steyn? He lives in Scotland and all we know about is football, cold weather, irn bru, whiskey, haggis and birds with big boobs.
