Please believe me, there is a load of info there . I have put my 2 cents worth of feedback in months ago, as this started developing. Many of us have.

Sure, there are changes to get used to... but that's all part and parcel of Progress.

Is ABC the be all and end all in racing ? Us few forumites ? What about the rest in racing ?
Why don't we have a look and see. We cry for changes, maybe it's good. So what if we weren't consulted ? Judge the new Computaform objectively and see in 6 months time.

Maybe it's a WINNER !

Maybe it's an improvement , but to assume the improvement unsighted is typical "kiss arse",
The worry is a sudden about turn on the quality of paper and printing.....it needs to last one meeting and the info is only temporarily useful and the cost will inevitably be passed on in time.i seem to remember they downgraded the paper quality, for that very reason ,sometime ago....what's changed??
Profitability comes from cutting expenses , not increasing them!!

Let's wait and see !

RELEASED BY: Phumelela Gaming

A new-look Computaform goes on sale this week and it’s set to be a winner.
Computaform, long South Africa’s premier horseracing form guide, has been
revamped from beginning to end and owners, trainers and punters who have
seen it and, in some cases, advised on different elements during its
transformation, all say it’s fabulous.
There’s much to like! The publication has a brand-new look and feel –
modern, brighter, better-quality paper and, most importantly, more
information presented in an easier-to-read format.
Obviously, it will take users time to become familiar with the new format,
but there’s a comprehensive “How To Read” display that should get everybody
up to speed in quick time.
It’s common cause that Computaform loses a significant amount of money
annually and these losses will increase as a result of the better paper now
being used.
Unavoidably, the cover price has been increased to R30 in order to offset
some of these losses. For the record, the increase is the first for some
time, this in spite of increased staff and printing costs during the
timeframe since the last increase.
And, in order to reduce printing costs, Fotoform will no longer be
published in the printed version of Computaform. Many users have indicated
they no longer use Fotoform, principally because all the information in
Fotoform is in the form lines anyway.
For those who still require Fotoform, it is now available online for a
nominal fee of R250 annually at www.tabonline.co.za
The first Computaform in the new format is for the night race meeting at
Greyville this Friday 19 December

sorry I have just got my books for the weekend and im very disappointed in the new books...no fotoform ,no fields in the beginning of the book where you write the betting down and also could quickly write down exotics instead of paging through race by race ,,,doesn't tell you anymore just above the preview about equipment changes ...shove it

The only reason I did not use Sporting Pro as my main written base was because of the habit of using Computaform for so many years(We all tend to stick with what we have got used to)
Haven't seen the new, but I foresee Sporting Pro and formgrids as my future seeing as I have to accept a change anyway.
(especially after hearing about the missing "all fields on one page" section)

correct rob your eyes get trained to read a certain formguide ...in all my years on this site I have never heard anyone complain about computaform in fact many who use it including me call it the bible ...they have taken away to much and quite frankly haven't added much...you want improvements that's fine just go look at the new tabgold website that is improvement BUT they didn't take away what they had before...im not surprized they fcuked it up cos the people who were behind the changes haven't got a fcuking clue as their track records show...mediocrity continues

Just see the new Computaform and also very disappointed. No position and lengths for 800 and 400 meters which is why I buy Computaform. Some more information in certain areas but not the Computaform IMO, looks more like the Citizen's Racing Express on steroids. I hope on Computaform online they keep both versions running.

Just seen on the cover on Computaform online new version 800m and 400m position, where would I find them or is it not in the online version?

A massive thumbs down in my book. :(
