Bob this story is amazing. So allow me a bit of leeway ito exchange rates and you have gone to stick on a R2000 cash bet and have been offered R500. What odds were the horse and was it a Saffer venue? What would "the man in the street" be limited to at rooms like these and would the layers be made of sterner stuff on course? We see the crowds at your tracks I can only presume the bookies do want to do business there?

I am not a big punter my bets are normally to win between a grand or two with multiples sometimes going between 5 and 10 grand - depending on the odds as I usually put 200 on my fancies. Every now and again I get a rush of blood to the head and have a go to win 10 grand "on the head" normally on a horse in double figures. I have never once been refused a bet.
