Looking at R 4 head on striker was going thru a gap then seemed to hesitate, then stood up in his irons - as if to say, gap closed !

My feeling that the OLD STRIKER would have Forced his way thtu that gap....... perhaps jocks only do this in the BIG RACES where there's real money at stake !

I know we don't see entirely eye to eye on this bud, though perhaps not a million miles off, but that one seems to me to be a case of if you are not in the know then you just got robbed. How anyone would back that on known form from 40s into half that is totally beyond me. Beaten 12l over 1200 on this course, rested 15 weeks and then wins over 1450 from the 14 box. Or maybe I should listen to the P6 maestro and just study harder  lol

Looking at the payouts nobody had a clue - You cannot claim insider knowledge when a horse wins paying R37 and R9 a place - The connections of that winner punt strongly so no way they let that horse start 28-1 - There is no way anybody expected that horse to win. I think more to do with a rough run race and moderate horses than anything else - It does not take much to shorten a horse from 40-1 to 28-1 - I'm not sure if claims are still 20 k then R500 is all you need!!
