Does any other country have this stupid rule of delaying a race if the fav is scratched while loading?

A few weeks ago the fav was scratched intractable and they jumped -when people complained it was stated that it was because the field was already loaded .......so what was the difference in the 5th today -FFs is it so difficult to have consistent procedures?

I know we don't see entirely eye to eye on this bud, though perhaps not a million miles off, but that one seems to me to be a case of if you are not in the know then you just got robbed. How anyone would back that on known form from 40s into half that is totally beyond me. Beaten 12l over 1200 on this course, rested 15 weeks and then wins over 1450 from the 14 box. Or maybe I should listen to the P6 maestro and just study harder  lol

Looking at the payouts nobody had a clue - You cannot claim insider knowledge when a horse wins paying R37 and R9 a place - The connections of that winner punt strongly so no way they let that horse start 28-1 - There is no way anybody expected that horse to win. I think more to do with a rough run race and moderate horses than anything else - It does not take much to shorten a horse from 40-1 to 28-1 - I'm not sure if claims are still 20 k then R500 is all you need!!

Fair comments Mr H but not being a horse person I find it very puzzling that a horse can improve that much and the stable have no idea. I know horses are not robots but still, you'd think the yard would have some idea of its ability, no? Was a pretty facile win after all. And I don't want to sound too conspiratorial but plenty of under the radar small bets at 40s spread around can still yield very profitable returns and there is nothing to say these people solely punt in SA. Maybe I go too far but then again, I know clanners who still have access to Betfair for example. Of course, it may not be the case and I am not saying there is anything definitely amiss, I am saying though, and I make no apologies for saying so, that I am highly "suspicious" and there should be no place in this industry for (most!!) suspicions... of course, I realise that there is nothing that anyone can do about that, transparency and honesty would be a futile exercise and much too difficult for the vast majority to "implement"! lol Should you respond, nothing personal bud, but I won't reply (you'll be pleased to hear no doubt), I am becoming a bit of a stuck record on the transparency theme! (not that it will stop me mentioning it again in the future! ;) )
