Another reason why punters say "stuff this game"?

I really liked Without Permission on saturday thought the 1600m would be perfect..

Was quite alarming to see the betting drift though so i decided to not punt (19/10 -6/1)

then i read in the stipes report that the jock felt something and eased down..

a) WITHOUT PERMISSION (AUS) (B Fayd’Herbe) commenced to overrace approaching the 1000m.
b) Jockey B Fayd’Herbe (WITHOUT PERMISSION (AUS)) reported that he felt something amiss with this colt in running and as a result he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Trainer J Ramsden has been requested to report back on this colt’s condition on its return to the stable.

then....... grrrrrrr

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:

a) WITHOUT PERMISSION (AUS) (B Fayd’Herbe) was inspected post race and nothing obvious was detected.

Bernard is notorious for this course of action..happened before the start a few weeks back when he requested the vet check the horse who found nothing wrong declared the horse a runner and it duly arrived safe...also eased Happy Forever out of a race for the same reason and vet later found nothing wrong...

Bob I think those involved should rename some of their runners, Without Integrity and Without Consequences. don't know the outcome of the runners wellness but if something was planned that way then there is a little shit called Karma and when he visits those involved they will all...... forgive my soul, Rot in hell!!

No offense to anyone but reading such a post gets under my skin. Hope there are answers soon.

Just a thought

Weight is not a prerequisite if becoming a vet Craig...I would hate to see a Vet my weight riding a horse

is it not the jockeys prerogative to stop riding a horse if he feels something amiss.
what would be worse the horse getting seriously injured, the jockey getting injured or causes a multiple pile up.

i am sure if a jock gets to soft trainers will take them on.

Bernard is one of the most honest jockey in SA.

Rather talk about the b.s in flamingo when the jockeys don't even try, will only use the whip when the horse as zero chance.....

Bullet proof vest on ready to get shot down now ;)

I am not in any way questioning Bernard's integrity, There is no doubt in my mind that he had no sinister agenda in any of the instances that I referred to..It was simply an observation..

Hey D-17 ,the integrity of racing must be protected , I'm not for one minute saying anything bad went on on Saturday , but full blown investigations need to be carried out in cases like this . Remember this was a very strongly fancied runner on a Saturday race day with million of punters rands at stake .

the horse drifted from 19 to 10 to 6 to 1 so where was it a strongly fancied runner and secondly if a horse trebles in price where do you see millions of punters rands at stake?the punters very clearly never fancied this horse that's why he drifted from 19 to 10 to 6 to 1...the welfare of horse and jockey is of utmost importance so its the jockeys call if he feels something amiss ..on the question of integrity Bernard has an extremely clean record in fact I don't think he has ever served any time for not giving a horse every chance ...we need more Bernard faydeherbes riding today

The horse was still 16/10 when the PA and Pick 6 Pools closed...so there was a LOT of money going down the tube
