RACE 2 : Scratchings *** NONE AS OF 24/04/2015 *** ENTISAAR was mighty impressive on debut, she had excuses last time out when losing a crucial length which ultimately cost her the race, progressive filly, the pace will be on from a few others and no doubt she will be finishing fastest - VERDICT (STRONG WINNING CHANCE) FINDING ALICE lost a length on debut and ran on smartly to finish just a few lengths off the talented SHAAMA, she needs to jump on terms to feature here - VERDICT (TRIFECTA/QUARTET CHANCE) FROSTED HONEY didn't find much betting support when she won on debut, despite drifting in the market she led that field a merry dance, she was found not striding out last time out and will no doubt put that run behind her, she has found significant betting support from long odds and AZZIE is very rarely not on the money - VERDICT (BETTER OBSERVED FOR IMPROVEMENT) KHALEESI well bred CAPTAIN AL filly which cost R400k, strange jockey booking considering the stable - VERDICT (BETTER OBSERVED) MELLA MARIA is the 2nd AZZIE runner in this field, her three runs have been credible, would prefer her over a little further but she warrants huge respect and seems to be coming on the right way - VERDICT (TRIFECTA) NOMVULA has been tried and tested and probably better suited to the minimum trip - VERDICT (PASS) OUTA MY WAY another which is probably better suited over the minimum trip - VERDICT (PASS) SAPSAN although tried and tested, her last outing was over a little further and she duly responded by showing the necessary improvement, she's a lurker here no doubt - VERDICT (EACHWAY CHANCE) SPEEDY SUZY will be speedy as usual and the likely pace in the race, it is her 3rd run after a rest and she has definite claims again - VERDICT (STRONG EACHWAY CHANCE) VARUMBA with her hefty price tag of R2,5 bar will surely show her class come race day, she has found betting support and warrants respect especially considering her owners - VERDICT (EXACTA/TRIFECTA)

RACE 2 SELECTIONS - ENTISAAR x VARUMBA x SAPSAN x SPEEDY SUZY

GERALD ROSENBERG STAKES : Scratchings *** NONE AS OF 24/04/2015 *** VINO VERITAS ride retained by PIERE STRYDOM who's won on her twice, she prefers the firmer going and conditions will likely not suite, depending on the going - VERDICT (PASS) ERIN was impressive last time out when supported into favorite, she duly obliged and ran a very credible 2nd, she will be competitive over this trip - VERDICT (STRONG EACHWAY CHANCE) MOHAVE PRINCESS is no doubt a classy filly, she has always impressed me but that last run raises many red flags, it was a poor effort, she is returning after a small layoff - VERDICT (PLACE CHANCE AT BEST)
ENCHANTED SILK has some moderate form and not much to recommend - VERDICT (PASS) CLASSIC ILLUSION does enough to get you excited but no cigar, blinkers are off and it could make a difference but it could also make no difference at all - VERDICT (BETTER OBSERVED) SANTA CAROLINA is a little like CLASSIC ILLUSION, has some work to do against a few others and doesn't make much appeal - VERDICT (PASS) AMBER ORCHID gets the services of ANTON MARCUS which is interesting because he has ridden her twice previously, she will no doubt stay this trip - VERDICT (QUARTET CHANCE) TOUCH THE SKY has obvious claims, she had excuses in her last when she was bumped, she warrants respect and has a small outside chance - VERDICT (OUTSIDE PLACE CHANCE) FORTITUDE has continued to impress me, she'll always give you a good run for your money and looks a steal at 33/10 a place - VERDICT (TOP THREE) MYSTIC TIGRESS will be running in a different race - VERDICT (BETTER CHANCE SCRATCHED) TAMAANEE has the jockey, the draw, the class and credentials VERDICT (STAND IN LINE)

RACE 3 SELECTIONS - TAMANEE x ERIN x FORTITUDE x MOHAVE PRINCESS

Some great comments guys , thank you for the effort

Any more news on the going ? Conditions have not been updated since 3pm

I'm sure Mathew De Kock blamed soft going for Ertijaals bad run recently?

The day has finally arrived
Sirens Call will win the triple crown and is my banker in everything
Varumba was so impressive last time if any improvement will beat this lot easing up
French Navy won easier than it looked last time and will take a lot of beating
Coby in the last is the value on the day stays all day and will give kingston mines a race today

Three naps for a treble:
  1. SIREN'S CALL
  2. LAZER STAR
  3. KINGSTON MINES

Some value bets to beat the odds
  • THE HANGMAN
  • SPEEDY SUZIE
  • VINO VERITAS
  • Both REDCARPET CAPTAIN & SHAAMA
  • All of ALBORAN SEA, TRIP TEASE & FLY BY NIGHT
  • Both WYLIE HALL & LOUIS THE KING
  • All of FRENCH NAVY, AMSTERDAM & DEPUTY JUD

  • And a yankee-dandy so you won't get hurt
  • MEISSA in race 1

Prosperous punting B)

SA NURSERY - *** SCRATCHINGS NONE AS AT 25/04/2015 *** ARABIAN BEAT was well supported on debut and won hands and heels, against stronger next time out he wasn't disgraced when finding lots of early pace and only out run late - VERDICT (STRONG PLACE CHANCE) ARCTIC BLAST is another who was well backed on debut, lots of pace and also out run late, retains the services of MARCUS today but faces much stronger - VERDICT (PASS) BINDALOO beat ARCTIC BLAST, same form line, same sentiment - VERDICT (PASS) BRAZUCA is an interesting runner, didn't find much betting support on debut, he ran on very strongly when beaten by the talented ISCA - VERDICT (STRONG PLACE CHANCE) BUCKINGHAMSHIRE was sent out favorite in his last attempt, unfortunately he's draw hampered his chances on the day, very classy individual as for many in this field, might find this trip challenging depending on the conditions but will no doubt be a big contender if the pace is hot - VERDICT (TRIFECTA/QUARTET) DOLPHIN needs to find a top effort to feature - VERDICT (PASS) ISCA was very speedy on debut and won going away, does meet stronger today and will be tested over the extra trip, top jockey aboard and that makes a statement, look for a top effort - VERDICT (EXACTA/TRIFECTA) JUST AS I SAID will prefer the 1160m and can feature again, last run was credible when un-fancied in the betting - VERDICT (QUARTET CHANCE) KINGOFTHEWORLD although defeating JUST AS I SAID... needs to find more, just get the feeling that the former will reverse the form - VERDICT (BEST OBSERVED) MOGOK MASTER hasn't done too much wrong after winning his debut, he's just come up against a very classy bunch of 2 year olds, probably better over the minimum trip and he's form is well exposed - VERDICT (QUARTET CHANCE) MYSTICAL TWILIGHT has to grow wings to feature - VERDICT (START PRAYING) RAFEEF has found all the betting support, all the indicators are there and much will depend on how he jumps and how green he is, against this field some get the feeling that he will have to be way above average to win here first time out, too many unknows for me and the betting alone doesn't warrant the respect - VERDICT (BEST OBSERVED) RED CARPET CAPTAIN has been ultra impressive and will no doubt put in another top effort, the trip is perfect and is probably better suited over this 1160m, he's chances depend on how good the De Kock duo is - VERDICT (EACHWAY CHANCE) SHAAMA another well bred filly, that debut win was very impressive, she absolutely cruised in! she will be very competitive here - VERDICT (STRONG WINNING CHANCE) ** NOTE ** Looking at the race I do believe a trifecta boxed many times 12 x 13 x 14 looks a solid bet in this race **

RACE 4 SELECTIONS - RED CARPET CAPTAIN x SHAAMA x RAFEEF x ISCA

Good to Soft PEN reading 24...supposedly

Wont change much throughout the day, it`s one of those inbetween pen readins that could make the going quite tacky, that wont really suit the fast ground or the soft ground horses
