Malak won that day with DH 9.75l back. Have DH down as a possible but would want at least double figures to have a small go, looks to me like Malak and stablemate Escape Route, given the improvement from 2nd to 3rd run, probably have his measure. I think DH is possibly better than that last run (one before had been in KZN, though almost a month earlier) and the draw could make a difference but it is a lot to find.
I'm sure we all know the vaal straight.
the point is the horse never enjoy the wide draw imo
the run at greyville was a cracker and is much better than the last when probably In need of the run.
like I mentioned this is the 2nd run so should be much fitter now and coupled with the pole draw should run an improved run.
8/1 is decent for me.
after reading your post I still don't know which is your main horse for the race, could you perhaps post your main bet ? so we can all learn as by mentioning a few horses doesn't benefit anyone.
hit them hard with your MAIN bet
cheers

I doubt I'm having a bet on the race Shield, was "just saying"... I found your post possibly a little misleading with regard to the draw, that was all.
And I'll post as I wish thanks, and judging by the amount of thank yous and pms I get, they do benefit some, though obviously not all...

Englander, the 4th race, for me, is not the race to have an on the head punt. Personally, I think El Maestro is the right one.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Seriously Colin, that's not the attitude. We exchanging opinions, it should not be a matter of life and slitting your wrist - NO - the poster has taken the time to have an opinion - trust me, we all appreciate that. What's the winner of race 4 in your opinion Colin, enlighten us sir.

Will explain later.
Back now, think you'll agree.
Pinnacle Stakes, Amber Orchid rated 93 carrying 60.0kgs. Favourite, 5/2, Princess Tantan merit rated 81 plus a 1.50kgs wfa allowance, which she is not getting - don't let them (the odds makers) put you off.

9 years 11 months agoI must have 2 fair horses if that's the case. Rikitikitana 1400 m ran a short head 2nd and Fort Ember won 1600m Both ran with 3 year oldsrob faux wrote:ColinP wrote: Hi Whiteline Fever.Do you think her 103.03 course and distance will be good enough to beat this field?Thats Tales of Mambo in the first
2yr olds do not have a good strike rate, over further than sprints,(in open company)at this time of the year.
Not saying it can't win but wouldn't be taking a short price!
