Thanks TN,much appreciated.I'm sure the info and site I'll go thru sooner than later. What I meant is its needless to try and guess what kind of Pace a certain race will be run by looking for pacemakers or lack there of.
@Pirates...I might be 1 of those on here who loses the most coz of the amount of bets I take, but Its not so much as backing a WINNER...but HAVING A WINNING STRATEGY that makes all the DIFFRENCE!!! People are too caught up in odds to ever be succesfull punters...all want 50/1 doubles in a day when in life a bank gives you abt 3.3% in a month

Hein, I have those doubles into futura on the day. But I like to think I'm a good punter in that I'm not greedy. I stand to win a packet if futura wins and trust me I only have 1 horse that I think may beat him, however I will lay off some of my bets to ensure I walk away with full pockets on 4 July.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

On the rare occasion that I win, I worry there will be an objection...Wylie Hall in July last year being the best example thereof...
That is why I was quite shocked that my bet on JP's Prince stood !!

The thread may have lost its way and I am still happy with Futura draw and my bet.
Touching on the other subject it's no secret that I felt Betfair was the best option for a punter and the simple concept of exchange betting wonderful and fun, however was surprised that only 5% of the players walk away with a profit, the other 95% end up playing out the gains they may have had.

Dave, that doesn't surprise me so much because when I chatted with the guys from Betfair, I was surprised to learn that only about 5% of members lay......95% just back using the better prices...........they said that relatively few had any idea of the concept of playing bookmaker!
