A couple of things that Tellytrack could consider are that the camera positions at WC and Fairview are positioned too low so that you can only see races developing in the last 200 metres.

Appreciate that local races have priority but when all the picture shows is a horse lobbing down to the start in SA and a race in progress from overseas. The overseas race is a small piece in the corner without commentary.

Time to change commentator in PE.

Why are Joburg based commentators flwn around the country when more than competent
local people are available with more local experience.

As we all agree, this is very positive .............and just a thought ................would it not be handy to know which directors /managers are responsible for OTHER operational areas of "P".
For instance ,when the Jocks raise an issue of unsafe rails ,and next week FA has been done (as per today)who is responsible?
When TAB advertise early morning racing from Hong Kong and the staff don't bother to pitch on time, to open betting, who is responsible.
I think when responsible management can be identified,,it may engender more reaction!

How disappointing to realise that this was all typical empty promises from "P".
Have just watched a race from Kenilworth which was the 2nd leg of a nice double for me, and I had to watch at least a third of the race from behind and looking up the horses arses FFS.
(and I am not sour BTW............................................. the horse (Siver Mountain) won ;) )

And Lyle does the same as Cecil. Don't the presenters watch the race. Another thing Lyle needs maths lessons when it comes to tickets going through he always calculates wrong. The data room guys must catch a wake up

Tellytrack , if it is being seen internationally , needs to project a professional image and whilst technical issues may need improvement , there are simple management issues which don't need time
A)proper production of in running pictures
B)an acceptable error rate from the data room
c)you don't hear overseas productions using "pet"names for each other like " Nades", "Shells" "Jules" etc and presenters competing for who has the most important "very good friends "......it is becoming a little bit like racings "Chippy Chipmunks club".....they need to take note of the overseas productions!

racing needs action , not words!

You are correct, Rob. It's just not professional enough. Not slick and this has a lot to do with production and back room. And yes, the little insider jokes etc by presenters don't work and are often 'inside jokes' that public have no context to. Not clever enough. The British are masters at wit.. We can't do it and it is forced. Neil Andrews et al are now stale, esp with their golfing buddies tales, and it doesn't work any more. Just watch the old crew a few years back of McGrath, francome etc.
Let's also hope that the 'Tellytacky 1' is not just wishful dreaming.. And that there is going to be a '2' in the pipeline, or is it just another reminder how they have remained in 1 gear the last few years.

I was shocked to hear a presenter say"You probably won't hear this in the totes as they turn the volume down" What's the point then? Are you talking to the very few people that have the luxury of being at home to punt? I think TT needs to be out there more and that tote volume control has no place in Racing - Let the people hear the talk ,after-all the punters pay for the station.

Mr H have been posting for a year "who are the presenters talking to with verbal fixed odds" it's certainly not the guys at home with laptops, it's the tote office punters with the volume off
makes u think?
At least fixed odds betting back

presently they are addressing the symptoms rather then the illness
and probably holds true for the industry as a whole

Every 1 of those presenters play horse take doubles and the rest, they get to record show on Friday, they get there bets on early, not a bad thing if betting opens 1 hour before the 1st race meeting. Don't think butter don't melt in there mouth, they just like us, we all like to get 4/1 instead of 5/2. Soon trainers will not be talking to them because of this, and I know they get on early.
