Open Win and Open Place Limits
Not withstanding the pool size, Hollywood reserves its right to limit the odds payable on open wins and open places to a maximum of 50% over the fixed odds starting price of the horse (being the last price laid by Hollywood). The payout limit will be the lesser of the Saftote pool size and the value of the stake applied at the odds limit.
By way of example, if a horse has a starting price of 2/1 and pays R5 for a win (odds of 4/1) on the totalisator (where the pool size was R15000) and a customer has R1000 wins, then the payout will be limited to odds of 3/1. Should a customer have had R5000 wins on the horse then the maximum win amount will be the pool size.
The last Price laid on Storm Belt was 14/10 a place, plus 50% gives us 2.1/1 hence the R3.10 place payout.
The last price laid on Success Story was 1.25/1 a place, plus the 50% gives us 1.875/1 hence the R2.90 place payout.
Forever taking, never giving. The punter loses out yet again. It no wonder places like Hollywood can open shops all over the land on a regular basis

Kyle, the thing is the USA pools which it was commingled too, was the official payouts came from. The pool was nearly 700k. The problem is going to arise when the pool is commingled with the USA pool whereby an odds on favorite runs off the board, automatically every runner that shows (3 places), the payout is drastically high compared if the favorite ran a place. Chris van Buuren can second that as I know he lives in the USA.
Furthermore, on Dubai World Cup night, every American runner, will be paying less a win and place because of the dollar exchange rate, what will happen then because every other runner will become value!!!!
