Can't be nearly as bad as the Cape Town one so I can't complain about this one, maybe the people who attend actually act and dress accordingly and have a slight bit of respect for horse racing (which is the point of the day right?) but I wouldn't hold my breath

No one except the workers are there for HORSE racing. Cheap prawns and maybe a betting voucher.
Would be interested to see if on course turnover markedly up on these days, and remember usually done at end of month when people have been paid

Not sure the point of The Good's comment. The event is only advertised on racing media, so mainly patronage from racing associated people. If it is aimed at "Pay Day Leisure Cash", so what? Reckon this must lead to increased turnover. Anyway, if only as an introduction to 5% of attendees, to racing, then job done. "Cheap Prawns" - are you insinuating that suppliers/Phum are off-loading 'old stock'? I would trust not. As racing people, believe that we should support any endeavor to bring the masses back to racing
