You have to believe that if Tellytrack used Cohen, from the studio,commentating from the Telly ,that the international feed laid a complaint!

Chicken,your "thank you" suggests you misunderstood me ...................I believe Cohen commentated because the complaint was against Dumpy ...............(just remembering Easy's comments)

I have mixed feelings about Dumpy calling the horses,because he does generate excitement at the end of a race.

Just out of interest, anyone know where the commentary box on a course is usually situated... well before the line, on the line, after the line? I ask cos having been to Fairview not so long back, I think it is positioned well after the line. If correct, and I didn't check, it made me think that they don't make the job easy for Dumpy. I was in the stand and I confess it was often pretty unclear what was happening! I do remain of the opinion that it is time he fell gracefully on his sword but, that said, I would rather all his mistakes etc than being told after the event how easy it was to find the winner, or that the winner came gliding through like a champion surfer riding a Tsunami wave, or being screeched at about some arse licking fantastic ride when the winner won by 10 lengths at a canter! Thankfully, there are no SA commentators who do any of the above three examples... :whistle:

Come on we need more of you to sign as we will hand this thread to the powers that be. Dumpy is the soul and heart of PE racing and when PE racing is spoken about he is the first name mentioned and has been for a long time. No good crying after the fact so get signing.
