Many Owners, Trainers and Jocks angry with Phum. They cannot believe the ineptitude of management who never called this meeting off yesterday or early this morning.
Further, it may be of interest that the current manager in Kimberley has been promoted to Vaal Course Manager from end April. ...

Anyone got a job for me out there ? The writing she is on the wall....

think its risky to race on the track as it is ? in terms of safety for the horses?

Sometimes wonder if this is reality or is someone just taking the mikkey.?? Someone needs to catch a wake up. The punters also put in the hours form studying and making decisions! Happy days......and the Cape winter season is just around the corner as well with potential meetings being lost.........I love my racing!!

Promoted to Vaal?..
Ahhh! i see, promotion is for a job well done!

The surest way to ensure less racecourses to maintain (sic)

You should start calling him Pacman now as he won't need much time at the Vaal

Surely we are not suggesting that the Flamingo Park track manager is any less competent than the board of "P"..................................................certainly no evidence I can see to support that notion!

Guys, there is not a track in South Africa that will handle 100mm's of rain except possibly kenilworthi]

The issue here is why did they not timeously call off the meeting

LG, only slightly tongue in cheek... some possible options for you...

1. It would seem that they will need a (new?) Track Manager at Bingo shortly
2. There may be a managerial opening at a Botanical Garden in the Greyville area of Durban...
3. There seems to have been an awful lot of vacancies in SA Racing Management in the 5 or so years I have been "around", looks like they are still very much vacant. To avoid confusion, when I say "vacant", I am referring to positions rather than people, of course...

More "seriously"... thanks for keeping us informed and for saying it as you see it, a very welcome change to the norm.
