Wow what a disaster. Imagine the financial damage to the JHB trainers.
sorry for all involved.
maybe someone at P will fall on their sword and resign over the mess.

Magi
I agree and disagree with you....
Vaal Sand, in its prime, on a few occasions raced within 12 hours of more than 100 mm rain. Then the decline came.....
Kimberley very much the same. In fact during the Peter Miller era, when Vaal Sand was at its prime, Peter used to argue with us that his track would take more than ours....end result/score - Peter Miller 4, Vaal 6 in terms of meetings lost.
As we have all been saying for a few years, these courses went backwards from their original states. And that is all down to MAINTENANCE ! or the lack of it....
As for today, it is an embarrassment to all in racing. And we are in a downward spiral. And then small fields will be blamed for stakes going down.
Maybe we need a thread/questionare on our courses?
How many are NOT draw biased ?
How many are in tip top condition right now ?
What improvements have we made to the actual Turf racing surfaces in the last 10 years ?
Are there any courses which are in better condition now than 10 years ago ?
